The Copa Rotary Cancún is an annual soccer tournament organized by the Cancún Rotary Club in which 88 kids from the underprivileged areas of the city have the opportunity to enjoy a morning of soccer, Mexico’s number one sport. Divided into 8 teams, two groups of four teams compete in the group stage, and then the best 4 teams pass to the semi-finals and final. They play in a 7-a-side format and with games lasting only 25 minutes each, the tournament only lasts 4 hours.

Each kid receives a full uniform, with shorts, socks and a shirt with the Rotary wheel on the chest, as well as hot dogs and water and trophies for all teams, all of which is provided by sponsors. After the tournament the kids can proudly wear their shirts with the Rotary wheel at home for all to see. The kids leave with great memories of a soccer fiesta!
